Alex Herter is the guitarist and vocalist of ZABRISKIE, a band that blends shoegaze with elements of post-rock, dreampop, and classic singer-songwriter traditions. Known for their epic intros and carefully constructed atmospheres, Alex’s contributions are central to the band’s signature sound.

His use of layered, psychedelic guitar tones and fragile, atmospheric vocals creates a dreamlike contrast to the solid rhythmic foundation provided by drums and bass.

As part of this trio, Alex helps craft spacious yet full soundscapes that draw listeners into a unique and immersive musical journey.

I must say they are really extraordinarily good, both the Stella compressor, but also the little Ziffer overdrive is a really marvelous little pedal. Apart from the build quality on both pedals I really enjoy the clean blend on the drive, which is a feature I’ve been looking for in many other pedals. And the compressor is simply state of the art, all the tweaking options in such a small format and with this sound quality, it doesn’t get any better! Compliments!!
