CompIQ Stella Pro demonstrated by French jazz bassist Jean-François Untrau

The CompIQ Stella Pro stands out as a remarkably powerful compressor/limiter pedal, offering a wide array of parameters for unprecedented control over playing dynamics. Its versatility extends to studio applications like bus compression and tracking, as well as delivering exceptional results in live performances. Compatible with various instruments including guitar, bass, keyboards, synths, and electro-acoustic guitars, it can also be used with vocals when paired with an appropriate pre-amp. Additionally, users have the option to enhance its functionality with the DITOS Transformer-Coupled Balanced Output DI add-on board, which can be pre-installed or added later.

Here are two instructional videos, available in both French and English, featuring French jazz bassist Jean-François Untrau explaining each feature of the Stella MK1 compressor. Please note that the current model, Stella MK2, has undergone updates including the removal of the saturation engine and the introduction of new features such as Feed-Forward/Feed-Back compression modes, Dual-Band Side-Chain Filters, and Voicing, which subtly alters the compressor’s frequency response.
