Shortly before officially releasing our new BECOS FX CompIQ YUNA Pro Compressor, we sent a unit for review to Chris Tromp (a.k.a. The Compressor Guy) at compressorpedalreviews.com. His findings align perfectly with what we set out to achieve with the new YUNA. It was designed to offer a simpler control interface without compromising on features or processing quality. And let’s be honest, we wanted to compete more directly with compressors from Empress and Origin Effects, while delivering more flexibility, higher performance, and a clean, distortion-free sound.
With YUNA, we also introduced an extended timing control range not available from the competition, as well as a compression control that links ratio and threshold. We kept all the essential features that bassists and guitarists love: a variable side-chain filter, a dry/wet blend control, and a tilt EQ that proves extremely practical.
