Dario Fornara

Dario Fornara is an acoustic fingerstyle guitarist, composer, and solo artist. He is the president of the association Fingerstyle Life, through which he promotes projects and initiatives dedicated to the guitar world. For eight years he worked as a writer and journalist for the specialized magazine Chitarra Acustica.

His discography includes both solo and collaborative projects. In 2009 he released his first solo album Amore e Psiche for the label fingerpicking.net, and in the same year he appeared on the compilation 34 Volte Amore. His second solo album, Sequeri, was released in 2013. In later years he published the vinyl single Portata dal Vento in 2022, followed by the mini CD Marguerite in 2023. He also produced three albums in support of the charity association Wine & Guitar Clan.

Dario Fornara has performed at major acoustic guitar festivals and events in Italy, France, and Switzerland. He has shared the stage with internationally known artists such as Tommy Emmanuel, Clive Carroll, Peter Finger, Laurence Juber, John Jorgenson, Beppe Gambetta, Tony McManus, Frank Vignola, Franco Morone, and many others. His name regularly appears on festival lineups dedicated to acoustic and fingerstyle guitar.

Alongside his concert activity, he is deeply involved in education and artistic direction. He has led many seminars, demos, and workshops at festivals, music schools, fairs, and stores. He collaborates in the artistic direction of the festival Un Paese a Sei Corde and curated the Fingerstyle Life section of Galliate Master Guitar. He is also the founder and director of Liutai in Villa, an exhibition event dedicated to handcrafted acoustic guitars. He is an official endorser and demonstrator for Schertler, EKO Guitars, Chatelier Guitars, Savarez Strings, G7th capos, Foxgear pedals, and DavidLaboga cables.

It’s a very carefully designed product and is one of the best compressor pedals I’ve tried. Truly excellent. Precise, clean, and transparent. Great. It allows for very precise adjustments; even minimal corrections can be made very precisely.
