Mike Krompass

Mike Krompass, also known as Mike K, is a multi-talented music producer, songwriter, mixer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and programmer who has produced, engineered, mixed, written and played on many top-charting Billboard hits. He has worked with various artists including Meghan Trainor, Kelsea Ballerini, Steven Tyler, and Disney among others.

Mike has also teamed up with Lisa Krompass, Emma Stakes, Rhys Anderton, and Dan Taylor to form a new record label, publishing venture & production company called Base Culture Music Group. Additionally, he owns Mercia Records / Mercia Music Group with distribution through SONY / The Orchard. His music has been featured in hundreds of major motion picture soundtracks and television shows syndicated worldwide.

Mike started his career in Toronto as a studio/live session guitar player and music director. He has performed with Nelly Furtado, Edwin, Elton John, and others and has appeared on major network TV shows such as American Idol, SNL, and David Letterman. Mike is currently the Music Director / guitar player for American Idol David Archuleta / Demi Lovato tour, Smash Mouth. Additionally, he has formed an alt/rock/metal band named Dead Romantic, based in Yorkshire, UK.
